Featuring world-class performers from across the globe: an award winning tribute artist from Australasia, a renowned Norwegian musician, the Metroplex’s most beloved supporter and singer of Elvis’s songs, as well as a World Champion tribute artist taking us to the movies! In 1970, after nearly a decade off the road, Elvis Presley launched his return to live touring with a bold, unforgettable series of performances at the Houston Astrodome. Fresh off the success of his Las Vegas residency, Elvis brought his electrifying stage presence, complete with iconic jumpsuits and a powerhouse setlist, to over 200,000 fans across six shows. There were no elaborate stage effects-just Elvis, his legendary charisma, and the undeniable energy that reminded the world he was still the King. In October 1956, a 21-year-old Elvis Presley took the stage at Dallas’s Cotton Bowl before a stunning crowd of over 26,500 fans- one of Texas’s most significant live events ever. Riding high on the release of hits like “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Hound Dog,” Elvis arrived in style, paraded down to the fifty-yard line in an open convertible, and launched into an electrifying set that exploded with rock ’n’ roll power. This show recreates that raw moment, no costumes, no filter, just Elvis’s unstoppable charisma in its purest form.

Elvis’s last performances in Texas were in March of 1977. As the spotlight fades and the final notes echo through the room, we close the night with a powerful nod to the year Elvis left us.
